Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to the
circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a whole.
The impact of Covid and Lockdown in 2020 gradually slowed
down, however we were financially secure when we returned
fully in 2021. Clearly funds had come in before the Pandemic ,
this helped with the initial drop in numbers of 100 which was
contained supported by good reserves in capital. We recovered
most by 2022 and reached our target numbers. Our Offer is a
broad selection of many different groups which encouraged the
returns members also new members increased. Our numbers
and donations were positive after the Pandemic due to Open
Days to drive back the numbers via new members and the
revenue required.

Financial Review

Review of the charity’s
financial position at the end of
the period
Strong financial position by maintaining the 17 weeks of
Reserves as per the Charity Commission guideline and keeping
within the Budgets for Venues and additional costs we need to
meet. We operate on a one subscription fee of £57 per annum
for all members, all Groups are Free at the Point of Use which is
in line with the Ethos of the u3a Movement.
