|Summary of the main activities<br>in relation to those purposes<br>for the public|There are 57 Interest Groups with a mix of education such as<br>Current Affairs , Philosophy, History , Languages , Arts, well<br>being,  physical sport activities with sociability eg, Badminton,<br>Short Tennis and Table Tennis , plus Quiz Nights and Lunch&<br>Skittles available ,There is a mixture of external venues , outside<br>& smaller home groups to serve 500+ members. There is also 5<br>groups of walks which is very popular and sociable.|



## **Achievements and Performance** 

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to the<br>circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a whole.|The impact of Covid and Lockdown in 2020 gradually slowed<br>down, however we were financially secure when we returned<br>fully in 2021. Clearly funds had come in before the Pandemic ,<br>this helped with the initial drop in numbers of 100 which was<br>contained supported by good reserves in capital. We recovered<br>most by 2022 and reached our target numbers. Our Offer is a<br>broad selection of many different groups which encouraged the<br>returns members also new members increased. Our numbers<br>and donations were positive after the Pandemic due to Open<br>Days to drive back the numbers via new members and the<br>revenue required.|

## **Financial Review** 

|Review of the charity’s<br>financial position at the end of<br>the period|Strong financial position by maintaining the 17 weeks of<br>Reserves as per the Charity Commission guideline and keeping<br>within the Budgets for Venues and additional costs we need to<br>meet. We operate on a one subscription fee of £57 per annum<br>for all members, all Groups are Free at the Point of Use which is<br>in line with the Ethos of the u3a Movement.|

I have prepared and then audited the above accounts which shows a
surplus of £3,240 compared to a deficit of income over expenses of
£4,246 for the previous year.
The inc¢)rne received up to May 2023
ha5 been treated as in year subscriptions with monies received in
June, July and August as being received for 2023124 year.
I have extracted the payment to Third Age Magazine of £389 whlch
was included in hall hire aThd shown separatély. I have also shown
the monies received for this separately.
I have checked the bank balance at year end to barLk statements and
transactions during the year and can confirn that these figures
are corrèet.
I enclose a note of my charges for your kind atterLtion. Could you
please rnake a cheque payable to ICC Accountancy Lirnited or pay
