Swarthmore is a centre for lifelong learning, with community projects, family learning sessions and children's activities.

Objects: The Objects Of The Company Shall Be To Promote The Education Of The Residents Of Leeds And Surrounding Areas Through The Provision Of An Educational Establishment, And In Particular But Not Exclusively:(a) To Provide A Learning Community For Personal Development And Social Activity For Those Who May Have Been Excluded From Mainstream Educational Opportunities;(b) To Provide Opportunities And Activities For The Benefit Of The Community Based On The Recognition Of The Skills And Experience Which All People Bring.
