Activities

The LGMC entertains, educates and inspires through song, performing an extensive repertoire. We believe that a diverse society is a strong society. We work with schools, community groups and individuals to share our vision of everyone brought together through song. Our mission is to create, enable and connect confident voices across communities with fun, hope, love, joy, and fearless allyship.

Objects: The objects of the CIO are, for the public benefit: - To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and practice of choral music, particularly through the promotion and performance of choral works by members of the LGBTQ+ community. - To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by working with people who are socially excluded on the grounds of their sexual orientation, gender identity or other characteristics, to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society, particularly through opportunities for musical participation, performance, and community engagement. - To promote equity and diversity by advancing education and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalised groups, in particular but not exclusively through music and performance, to foster mutual understanding and respect. - To advance mental health and emotional well-being by participating in musical and cultural activities promoting confidence, connection, and community.
