STRUCTURE GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The charity is constituted as an association and is governed by its constitution, which was adopted on 18 March 2002, as amended 25 March 2014.
Appointment, induction and training of trustees
When there is a requirement for new trustees, these are selected and appointed by the remaining trustees. The induction of new trustees involves making them aware of their responsibilities, the governing document and the administrative procedures of the charity.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The charity’s objective is to advance the education of the pupils in Moulsford Preparatory School. In particular, developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school and by engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment, which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
The trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
The aim for this year’s fundraising was to continue to generate sufficient funds to cover the cost of items requested by the school to enrich and further the enjoyment and range of experiences for the children. This was achieved by holding various events over the year and continuing with the second-hand uniform shop.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The charity holds cash at bank of £117,297 all of which is unrestricted funds. These funds are held to meet future fundraising expenditure. The charity aims to hold at least £5,000 at each year end.
Voluntary donations collected by Moulsford Preparatory School on behalf of Moulsford Parents Association for the reporting period were remitted to the Trustees after 29th February 2024. £4,437 will therefore be reported during the following reporting period.
The Trustees declare that they have approved the Trustees’ report above.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF MOULSFORD PARENTS ASSOCIATION
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts for Moulsford Parents Association for the year ended 29 February 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
