Greenhouse Trust - Charitable Report 2024 ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE 2024 was another excellent year for The Greenhouse chrIlan Centre. Guest wrnber5 have remained con51Stently high, ond Ihe qvolity of our service continues to strengihen. Guests repeoledly tesllf y tha ihey hove never experienced better hospltalltyi Core, ond space to encovnler God. Due to slgt)If Icont malntenonce costs assoclated wlth the current bulldlngi we hove produced o small operotional and minlstry loss lexcludlng transltlon costs) of £31,000 0$ opposed to the surpluses of recent years. However we remain deeply enuraged by the frvlifvlness of thls mlnlstry, whlch contlnues to be cherlshed by many. In additlon to ovr regular operotlons, signiflcont fund5 from ovr tronsition budget were spent this year In connection wilh our relocatlon plons. These Included expenses related to researching potential propertles, engaglng wlth estote ogents, and commisslonlno profesglonal services such as plarning con5ulionts, voluers, ond surveyors. These costs ref lert our due dillgence and commitment lo making a well-lnformed and prayerfully dlscerned move. Whlle the mlnlstry 15 Ihrivlng, we remoin Ilmlted by ihe constroints of our currenl slie ot 17 Burton Road. As such, we continued building on the November 2023 onnouncement thot we would relocate to a new slte in due course. Thls need to move is underlined by the significont 01¢y$ of reserves on replacing boilers and key safety systems. These were expensSve and directly related lo ihe ogeing noture of our properly. The vision to move hos been met with enthuslasm by many omongst ovr community and supporters, and 2024 has seen meonlngful steps forword. After considerable research ond pruyer, we explored o wlde range of potential new pioperties and corefully shortllsted three that Met many of our criteria. Of ihe5e, one slood out as especiolly suited to the unique nolure of the Greenhouse mlnislryi and It remolns the focu5 Qf our hopes 0$ we look ahead. The team culture Is morked not only by excellent operotions and mutuol support, but also by a rlth splrltual rhythm, includino daily proyer and dIscerrenl for guests and one another. progrom _ We hove contlnved to reflne ond develop our amual progromme, introduclng fresh elemenls that respond io the needs of our gvesls ond ihe promptlngs of the Holy Spirit. These offerings have been well received and contSnve lo deepen ovr impocl. Guesls_ With an average ocojpancy around 650/, gvests expre55 heortfelt appreciotion for iheir time at The Greenhouse. Word of mouth conlinues lo be our strongest rnorketing tool, and 51ories abound of lives refreshed, healed, and redirected ihrough encovnlers here. Parlnerships *_ We continue to deepen our colloboration with local ¢horities, including Foithworks and their Single Poreni Group5, a5 well os with a number of churthes. Our facilities are regularly of fered ot redv¢ed or no cost to locol partner5, and we h05t proyer meetings for local church leaders who shore our heart for this region.
