The New Priestwood Communlty Association £xecutNe Committee meets at least 4 times a year to manage the cefit and actlvltles there; and to discuss and progress projects to support users of the CeTht and the inhabitants of Prlestwood and Garth. The Centre Manager looks after the hirin8 of rooms by clubs, societies and communitygroups who offer educational and social artfvitles for our residents. from the very young to the very old. Our Centre's spaces are accessible for and used by people who have disabllitie5. Trustees try to ensure ihat facllitles offered at the Prlestwood Community Centre allow activities that a as incluslve and as varled as possible, to attract and be accessible and affordable or fe to a wide range of residents. The Centre is well maintsined. Hire fees are kept at a e1 to be able to pay staff a living wage rate of pay, and to cover essential costs. Trustee5 seek ways to expand the Centre's offer to reach dtfferent parts of the Prlestwood and Garth community. With the ending of Covid re5trirtion5, during this financial year we have been able to revopen our book swap facility, re-instate the facility for children's birthday parties and increase room bookings to be more in line with pre-covid numbers. Bookings can be made via contactin8 our Centre Manager by phone or via our Facebook pa8e "New Prlestwood Communrty Centre.. From the Facebook page you are able to view what clubs are held and when. A selection of the groups that Use the centre include: Bracknell Kick Boxin8 Club, Crown Ministries Church, Bloom 8aby Bracknell Forest, Line Dancing, Fit for All. Short M Bowls, Berkshire Wood Turners, Tal Chl, All Abllitles Martlal Arts, Bracknell Remlnlscence Group, Priestwood Under 5's, Bracknell Flower and many more. In Ortober 22 we were able to rollout our eekly Bre¥¢ which is run once a week by members of the committee and offers a warm, safe place for residents to drop in. We currentty supply a selection of hot and cold drfnks. biscuit, cakes, board games and bingo to join in where one can wln a prlze or two. P•• 1.20 Some of the 8rant money received has been used to set up a 8arden area where residents can enjoy a bit of gardenin8 & enjoythe produce that is 8rown. Financial Review Review of the tharity's financial position at the end of the period P•ra 121 The majorlty of income during 20121 came from grants and over 50% of income durlng 21122 was also from Grants. During this financial year122123198% of income was generated from room bookings and we managed to finish the year wrth a hlgher income than in the pre-pandemic years whlch allowed us to be able to maintain our level of reserves. A 8eneral reserve 15 held in a deposlt account to enable the New Priestwood Communitv AXIatIon to continue to pay the bills for Approx 6 months in the event of a downturn In revenue such as the restrictlon due to COVID pandemic.
