Summary of the Para 1.17 Bonymaen Kids Play Initiative
purposes of the charity provides good quality affordable
as set out in its play and childcare facilities for
governing document the children and parents of
Bonymaen. We provide a play
environment which builds the self
respect and confidence of
children and where children feel
safe, secure and free to
participate and have fun. We
promote social inclusion by
working with 300 children per
year, aged 3 -16 over 11 schools
and reduce the risk of
disaffection by promoting a
caring and trusting atmosphere
which enhances the children’s
confidence and self-esteem.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of Para the main 1.20 achievemen ts of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstanc es of its beneficiarie s and any wider benefits to society as a whole.

Continuation of B.K.P.I Clubs as outlined above has allowed children to experience a wide range of play activities and to learn and develop through play.

During the autumn term the children enjoyed Halloween crafts and making their own costums for the Christmas parade.

40 children and parents took park in the Swansea Christmas parade doing rock around the tree theme.

Staff at weds night club ran a series of graffti art workshops.

Christmas Playscheme was celebrated with a Christmas dinner which 25 children help to prepare by peeling veg and making stuffing.

We had fun in the winter term and the children were involved in trying to raise money towards a residential activity holiday, unfortunately the covid lockdown closed down our activities from March onwards.
