The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. The trust complie5 Wlth its public benefit responsibilities by making grants 10 individuals and institutions in support of theatrical educational and local Climmunity activities. Grantmaking The trustees adopt a proactive approach in seeking worthy causes requiring support. ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMAf4CE Charitable activities During the year, the trust¢es have allocgted funds to financially support th¢ theatre, medical facilities, educaiion and various local communitv initiatives. Fundraising a£tLvilies The trust is funded principallv by gifts from the founder. Additionally income generated from investii)g the funds are Used to furtlier the charity's objectives. FINANCIAL REVIEW Financial position During the year under review expended resources exceeded incoming resources by £18,550 (2025.. £46,758). At the end of the year the trust retained liquid unrestricted as5et5 of £244,175 (2025.. £262,725) and quoted investmeiits with a market value of £3,006,298 {2025.. £2,308,541)- Principal funding sources Thc Principal %ourcc of funds is investsnent income generated from the trust's substsntial inv¢stm¢nt base. Investment policy and objectives In order to maintain a prudent and responsible investment policy and in view of the volatility in Ihe investment markets the trust's investments have been split between mai)aged cash funds, bonds and UK equities. Reselwes poliey The trustees have sought to balance grants paid with investment income generated and to maintain the capital base to geiierate a stead), income stream. Applications for grants are considered on a regular basis and the trnstees decide on awards where the criieria meet the objectives of the trust. FUTURE PLANS The trust plans to continue the activities outlined aLx)ve in the forthcoming years. STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT Governing docurnent The Charity is controlled by its governing documenL a deed of trust and constitutes an unincorporaied charity. Grants offered subject to conditions which have noi been met at the year end date are noted as a commitmeni but not accrued as expenditure. Alloeation and apportionment of costs Resources expended are allocated directly to the nd to which they relate. Taxation The charity is exempt from tax on its charitable activities. Fund aceounting Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance wilh the charitable objectives at the dis¢retion of the trustees. Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when ndS are raised for particular restricted PUTposes. The endowment fund is restricted in that the funds were provided to provide a capital base in order to generate an iiicoine to make grants in the COUTse of the charity's activities. General To the best of our knowledge and belief all transactions undertaken by the Trust have been properly recorded in the accounting records and these financial statements and all relevant records have been given to you. 2. Accounting Policies The accounting policies used are detailed in the financial statements and are consistent with those adopted in the previous financial statements. 3. Statement of Financial Activities Except as disclosed in the financial statements, the results for the year were not materially affected by.. {a) transactions of a sort not usually undertaken by the Trust, {b) circumstances of an exceptional or non-recurrent nature, {c) charges or credits relating to prior periods or (d) any change in the basis of accounting. Any expenditure included in the financial statements (where receipts or vouchers were not available) was properly made in connection with the Trust's charitable activities, unless specifically notified lo you as being of a private nature. 4. Debtors Balances included in the financial statements are all valid debtors or prepayments. The bad debts written off are complete as far as the trustees are aware and full provision has been made against specrfic debts which are known or may be expected to be irrecoverable. S. Other Current Assets In our opinion, other current assets are expected to realise in the ordinary course of business at least the amounts at which they are stated in the Trust's Balance Sheet. 6. Liabilities All known liabilities of material amount at the year end are shown in the financial statements including the liability for all purchases to which title has passed prior to the year end. 7. Capital Commitments At the year end there were no commitments for capital expenditure. 8. Contingent Liabilities
No contingent liabilities existed at the year end, other than any grant commitments disclosed in the financial statements which are subject to conditions not yet met. All contingent liabilities are shown in Note to the financial statements. 9. Post Balance Sheet Events All post Balance Sheet events have been shown in Note to the financial statements. 10. Going Concern In our opinion, the Trust will have adequate resources available to finance its charitable activilies and other obligations during the course of the twelve months from the date of this letter. 11. Law and Regulations We confimi that the Trust has complied with all law and regulations relevant to its charitable activities during the year under review, including the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 and the Trust's governing document, and that we have made available all relevant information necessary for the purposes of the independent examination.
