Objects: A) To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Recording, Study And Protection Of Places And Objects Of Natural Beauty Or Of Ornithological, Botanical, Silvicultural, Geological, Zoological, Archaeological, Historical Or Scientific Interest In The United Kingdom And In Hayling Island In Particular And To Advance Public Education In The Conservation Of Such Places And Objects;b) To Promote, Encourage And Assist The Restoration To Good And Navigable Order And The Maintenance And Improvement Of Canals And Other Inland Waterways Of The United Kingdom For The Public Benefit And To Educate The Public About Inland Waterways, Their History, Construction, Use, Development And Operation;c) To Relieve The Suffering Of Horses, Ponies And Donkeys Which Are Unwanted, Sick Or Neglected Or Are In Need Of Care As A Result Of Cruelty Or Ill-Treatment And To Support (Financially Or Otherwise) The Establishment Or Maintenance Of Rescue Homes Or Sanctuaries For The Care And Rehabilitation Of Such Animals;d) To Advance The Education Of The Public By Promoting Interest In And Appreciation Of And Preserving For Public Benefit Historic Vehicles And In Particular Steam Trains, And All Equipment, Buildings And Other Items Of General Transport Or Historic Interest Which May Have Been Used In Connection With Such Vehicles;e) To Establish Or Support Community Transport Schemes For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Local Communities In The United Kingdom; Andf) Such Other Charitable Purposes As The Trustees May From Time To Time In Their Discretion Decide.
