John Shipman thanked Gill Clarke as Facilities Manager, the committee for their support this year. The field is in excellent condition thanks to Adrian Crawley – it is well used by the public and sports teams throughout the year, a real asset to the village. Gill looks after the play equipment and the legal aspect of the playing field.

We have had essential financial support from the community via the Parish Council and the CBC COVID relief fund.

Our Health and Safety Procedures continue to be sound, with our recorded weekly inspections supported by the annual ROSPA safety inspection and risk assessment. All play equipment is inspected weekly by Adrian.

John sent thanks on behalf of the King George Memorial Playing Field Committee to Bernard Morse, Cricket Club for his time as Chairman of the Committee, and representative of the Cricket Club. Also, to Michelle Albone, who has recently left the Parish Council and Treasurer of the Playing Field Committee.

The accounts are with the Auditor for approval and signature. These will be issued at the September meeting.
