Summary of the main The fundraising appeal commenced in the previous annual report period achievements of the charity was continued and essentially came to a successful conclusion in March during the year 2021. The appeal was conducted by a joint Appeal Fundraising Committee comprising two Trustees and co-opted non-Trustee School Governors and parents.

The building programme of three new classrooms was completed during the period, wholly funded by Wiltshire Council. The fundraising appeal was to raise additional money to link the three new classrooms with the existing School buildings and provide a Learning Hub to enhance the delivery of first-class education.

The community responded magnificently by conducting a wide variety of sponsored sporting events, several craft-making initiatives, a driveway sale and other sales in support of the appeal, all conducted against the background of social distancing required by the Coronavirus pandemic. In addition, local businesses and other grant-making charities were approached with significant donations resulting. The Fundraising Committee initiated a number of means to incentivise and then commemorate the donations of individuals and organisations. The costs of the named commemorative bricks and wall stars were fully recouped by the donations received and generating healthy profits for the appeal. A total of £106,815 was raised in year, including tax reclaimed on Gift Aid donations from the previous and current reporting year, making a gross total raised for the appeal over the two years of £130,200. Included in that figure is a legacy of £10,000that is being treated as Restricted Funds to be used to fund a future capital project for the School currently in planning. A total of £83,880 has been paid to the School in grants to cover the building costs of the Learning Hub. It is anticipated that further grants to complete the equipment of the new spaces will be made in the coming year, in response to proposals by the School.
