We have attracted new users and continue to be supported by our reS￿ar Use￿ We have more regular hirers than ever, giving U5 a high usage percentage and l am very pleased that an addth"¢y)al indoor b￿5 bookbng has filled one of the few remaining weekly slots. We have a gotyj ￿end of private business hirers, charities and CLMnmunity groups, plus parishioner support via the ￿￿1-establiShed Chill & Chat Café. OPCW mffithly tea parties, the Cow Shed and the Dc8 Wash. l am particularly pleased that a large nwnber of wethlings have been trf)oked for 2026. This IS something we have been tying to do for some time. Thank you to Katie. supported by Nick and Dou& for achiewng this. We **re delighted to host the fdlowing community events, several arranged by our Events Team, duri￿ the year.. Church BBQ Famity Fun Day. Quiz Night, Monsters. Party, Christmas Fayre and Ra Night We were sad to105e the 0￿"ng ￿S Traini￿ Oub after many year5, set up by Veronica M4liorini, but reteived the 8(KyI news from Veronica that we would be r￿l￿ng a very8enerous gift frcrfn them of £1.423. As ¢ommittee we decided to use this to accelerate development of our new, independent. website. We alm to improve online accessibility and marketing and provide ￿ater flexibility. There is still w(￿k to do but the plan 15 f(Y a summer laurhth. As we all know. Vices are g(xn8 up as a result of 8eoOiti¢al events and there is general Un￿rtaInty aboLrt when thinBs will improve. Maintenan¢e & Dewhpment At the beglnning of the year. we had the main Hall fl{￿ saNled and revarnished. This sorted out some historical issue5 and addressed the Con￿rn5 of scthe our users who put their wh(Aè bodies very close to the surfacel We followed up by buwng a scrubber dryer to keep the floor in tip top condition. Earlier in 2026 we turned our attention to the car park. which is often'overfuif. First we arranBed for some resurfacing and the creation of 3 rtew spaces. Next, we will install new edging around the ftowerbeds and grassed area. This w¢ll be done in the next couple of months and we will then refresh all the white line5, for which we have purchased our own equipment. We have not f￿gotten energy conservation and health and safety. Safety lighting and LED lights have been installed and Legionella testing carried out and followed up. The front door continues to Cause problems. some by the way customers leave building. Now, all you need to do is wave at the wall before leaving by the front door. We are continuing to look into the best way of handling this issue. Finally, we are very pleased and grateful that OPC has apprO￿d ow reqL*St a grantto pay for more 501ar pane15 arKI. at last. a battery to store the elertricitythey generate. This will enable us to tske a big step towards energy self-sustsinability and overall ￿Ure proofirg of the Hall. TheTeam At the last AGM we welcomed three newTrustees who served for the whole ffinanaal year. However, dLbe to job and family commitments two ha¥e resi8ned. Our subc(¥nm4ttee. the events team gained three more members, Owng and Shopwyke. Our manager. Peter Robert% has made gr&it strides in getting to know how everything works and has already made several improvements, includirvd on health and safety. Havi￿ a Finance and Facilitie5 Manager has certainly taken some of the pressure off the Trustee offic￿ me, the treasurer and the 5e¢retary.
