The trustees are also directors for the purpose of the Companies Act. CONSTITUTION AND LEGAL STATUS The Company was incorporated on 13 May 1999 and registered as a charity with the Charity Commission on 12 July 1999, The company is limited by 8uarantee. ACTIVITIES As a community church we endeavour to be in the community, for the community. Our mission is to fulfil the commission given to us by Jesus Christ in being the Gospel Igood news) by word and by our actions. Regular meetings and gatherings of people take place on Sundays and at other times, to teach Christian faith. The congregations comprise people from different backgrounds and cultures. Small groups taking place in localised areas form a foundation for church stability and growth. We run a children's and youth programme. We also seNe our community through the following.. . Money Advice Project to advise people in the community about benefits, debt management and related issues. 'Dial-a-friend" helping people in a practical way Family Fun days Alpha courses, explaining the Christian faith Working with the Black Country Food Bank Reaching out to the Asian community Other varied ways in which members of Walsall Community Church are helping people, neighbours in the community both spiritually and with practical issues. ACHIEVEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR The Goldmine congregation continues to gather in the town centre and is becoming an increasingly racially diverse community. The Coalpool Church is starting to reach the limits of the space available for them at St Peters Church Hall, meeting there on a Sunday afternoon and increasingly for other events. We have continued to own and operate the Midland Road Chapel building IMRC}, for a black majority church and training project and have further been gifted another small chapel (The Crescent) for similar use or disposal towards our charita ble objectives. The Walsall Money Advice Project (WMAPI has continued to operate, with an increased focus on the cost of living crisis. Clients continued to be referred from WATMOS Community Homes. Other clients (outside these group} were also helped. WMAP continues be key in the the delivery of the Black Country Food Bank Walsall Community Church supports and contributes towards the work of Trans4m International, an associate charity working with overseas churches and community projects. WCC also made donations to support outreach and needs in Pakistan and Nigeria. The Table café has had a reasonably successful year and, although it operates as a separate Community Interest Company ICICI, it is intentional in creating a Godly spiritual atmosphere and as a "doorf, to Jesus Christ and the church. In December 2023 we made them a £6371 loan in order to purchase a debt from a supplier and this is on course to be repaid by monthly instalments byjuly 2024

PUBLIC BENEFIT The main activities undertaken by the charity further the charity's purpose for the public benefit. The trustees have had regard for guidance on public benefit. VOLUNTEERS WCC is grateful to all individuals within the church who have given their time and used their talents to bring the Kingdom of God on earthl FINANCIAL REVIEW Financial Position WCC is grateful to individuals contributing by tithes and offerings Thanks, also, to organisations which have contributed. Total funds brought forward from the previous year were at a healthy level, establishing a strong bas15 to support the work of the charity. Regular giving income {tithes, offerings, special offering} shows a 7% increase over last year's giving (excluding WMAP}. Funding for WMAP was mostly received from WATMOS Community Homes, The Black Country Food Bank, and Walsall Council At the request of the Vine Trust we repaid early the loan made to allow us to purchase the lease on 33 Lower Hall Lane annex (which stood at £10,351 at the year startl and so we are now debt free and in a position to consider an offer from them to purchase the freehold on the entire of 33 Lower Hall Lane. 'My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4v191 Roservos policy Total reserves at year end stood at £830,69412023 £526,904). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
