activities/achievements
As a result of fundraising activity throughout the year, the children are now able to
make more use of outdoor areas for their learning. This includes quiet areas to read
or take their classroom learning outside but also supports their science learning
through the creation of habitats for mini beasts and planters and trugs that the
children can use to grow their own plants and vegetables. A new beach themed
courtyard promotes exploration and learning through play for all the children at
Oakwood Infant School. Money remains available to purchase new books by key
authors for readers at every stage and a family lending library to support family well-
being.
In addition to its fundraising, Friends of Green Oaks brought its community together
through a variety events and activities, for example a family circus at the school,
events that supported the children’s learning such as a Character Trail and parent
social events. Friends of Green Oaks also worked regularly with the local Parish
Council and Rotary Club to support village community events, such as the Village
Festival andyouth activities duringthe school holidays.

Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Friends Of Green Oaks.

I report on the accounts of Friends of Green Oaks for the year ended 31 July 2022, which are set out on pages 1 to 2.

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility to:

Basis of independent examiner’s report

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the next statement.

Independent examiner’s statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
