They in turn rely heavily on fellow parents volunteering their involvement to run various fundraisin8 activities throughout the school year. Committee FK)silions are recruitd and voted in at the AGM. The primary focus of the charity is to rnise fidS for Upminster Infant and Junior Schools and th¢ comrnittee chairperson meeis wilh the h0o] Head Teachers regularly to ascertain the funding needs of ihe school. The PFA commirtp2 then decide if th¢ requirements a suitable use of the funds raised. The Schools reliance on fundin8 from the PFA has increased in recent years as a result of the reduction in funding the schools rKeive from th¢ Local Authority. The PFA run various ¢v¢nts through the school year, such as a Firework Display, a Summer Fete. Christmas Bazaar, Halloween disco's. quiz nights and Secret Shopper events. Funds raised from main events ar¢ split between the Infant and Junior schwls. The funds raised benefit the Kh(K)l and ils pupils. The objective for the 2024125 a¢ad¢mi¢ year is to continue to fundraise and event$ for the pupils to enjoy.
