Summary
ofthe main
achievements
ofthe charity
The YCA has developed
a strong work ethic towards
learning
by example
which promotes
a stable peer relationship
whilst out ofschool.
during the year Our 2022 season has been very successful
following
the Covid
pandemic.
We were very cautious about our events going ahead due to
them being large group events,
however,
due to the safety measures
we
introduced,
they were run safely and effectively.
We held 9-day competitions
throughout
2022 ranging
from March to
October attracting
between 700 and 1000people to each event.
Various
majorette troupes attended
with some travelling
great distances,
we had
troupes attend from Dewsbury,
Batley, Heckmondwike,
Bridlington,
Kendal, Leeds, Wakefield,
and Horbury.
Our end-of-season
finale competition
is held at The Spa, Bridlington,
East Yorkshire.
Our event is held over 4 days and has been a huge
success and very much missed
by everyone
throughout
the pandemic.
During the day we have the majorette
and porn competitions,
and,
in the
evening,
we hold entertainment
nights where troupes socialise and relax
together
in a safe environment.
We also have Solo and Duo
competitions
at this event which is thoroughly
enjoyed
by the members.
Our fundraising
includes
raffles, numbers
boards, and the Pound
in the
Bucket challenge,
we also raise some funds from the sale of competition
wristbands.
