Direct Help & Advice (DHA) is an independent charity established in 1995 which promotes community cohesion and helps people out of debt, poverty, homelessness and into work and volunteering.

Objects: (A) The Relief Of Poverty Of Those People Who Are Impoverished, Homeless Or Threatened With Homelessness, And/or Who Are In Conditions Of Need, Hardship And Distress(b) To Operate As A Housing Trust For The Provision Of Emergency Accommodation And/or Temporary, Shared And Settled Accommodation For Those People Experiencing Poverty, Poor Housing And Homelessness. To Carry Out Support, Counselling, Activities And Trading Ancillary To Accommodation Which Develop The Skills And Abilities Of Persons Who Are Experiencing Poor Housing And/or Homelessness To Live Independently And Enhance Their Employment Opportunities.(c) To Provide Appropriate Advice And Guidance On Housing, Homelessness, And/or Social Welfare Issues And/or Related Topicsthe Provision Of Emergency Accommodation, Temporary And Settled Accommodation For Those People Experiencing Poor Housing And Homelessnessto Promote The Education Of Persons Who Through Their Social And Economic Circumstances Are In Need And Unable To Gain Employment And In Particular To Promote Or Support Schemes Where Such Persons May Receive Work Experience And Vocational Training For Periods Suitable For Their Needs So That They Are Able To Achieve Better Social Integration And/or Improved Chances Of Securing Employment
