 trustees’ consideration of major risks and the system and rp ocedures to manage them. Day to day operational management is by an elected committee operating within the Charities Rules and Regulations and Policies.  BSAR Constitution

BSAR has developed a 5year strategy and ra isk register which a re reviewed by the T rustees and Management Team.

BSAR operates as a member team of Lowland Rescue, and maintains relations with other membe teams in the local a rea. We work on behalf of Thames Valley Police. BSAR’s fnancial year is the calendar year but the AGM at which t rustees a re elected is typically held in February, so during the fnancial year 2020 two sets of t rustees were in ofce, the f rst until the February 2020 AGM and the second thereafter.

Bucks Search & Rescue also known as BSAR is a registered charity 1073134 has six t rustees during 2020/2021 term, consisting the Chairperson, Vice Chair, T reasurer and the 3 other members who make up the Executive committee. Bucks Search & Rescue (BSAR) is a team of volunteers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to support the emergency services. BSAR’s main role is to assist Thames Valley Police with vulnerable missing person searches across Buckinghamshire and to assist other Search and Rescue teams who a re afliated to Lowland Rescue (LR), in the surrounding counties. It is also available to t ravel further afeld should there be a national callout. BSAR is also available to assist other emergency services including Buckinghamshire Councils in the event of a major incident o r providing support during inclement weather. BSAR members a re t rained to a national standard and the team p rovides foot, bike, water, air and search management capability to assist the police in their search for high risk vulnerable missing people. In 2020 BSAR have responded to 38 incidents, as seen across most Lowland Rescue teams call out numbers have been down on p revious years due to the lockdown . During this exceptional year of a pandemic, BSAR helped manufacture and deliver PPE to f rontline healthcare staf; we supported other agencies by delivering toys and bedding for those in need; we p rovided food rf st responders on occasions of fooding.
