No. 1072984 Report of Trustees for the year ended 30th June 2024 The Trustees present their Report together with the Inspected Financial Statements for the year ended 30th June 2024. This is the report for District 105bC for the year to 30th June 2024. Trustees There are six ex-officio trustees (Deed of Trust amendment September 2017) and they remain whilst they hold the following offices: Acting District Governor Past District Governor 1 St Vice District Govemor 2nd Vice District Governor District Secretary District Treasurer Sandra Manktelow Dave Ebsworth Brian Donovan Vacant Diane Hopkins Peter Burnett Tim Hanton The Past District Governar is normally also the Chairman of the Trustees and a quorum consists of three trustees. No Trustee received any remuneration from the Trust. The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Trust and to enable them to ensure that the Financial Statements comply with the Charities Act 1992. They are also responsible for the safeguarding of the assets of the Trust. Objectlves These are defined in the Trust Deed. The objectives of the Trust are to hold the Trust Fund and its inLome upon trust to apply them for any purpose which is charitable according to the Law of England & Wales whether for the benefit of any individual, or group of people, or for the benefit of any other arganisation established for charitable purposes.

Main benefits result from the work of: Lions Clubs International Foundation and MD105 Foundation to further humanitarian work and disaster relief. MD105 Brain Tumour and Paediatn'c Cancer Foundation to create awareness of brain tumours and the funding need5 for vital research projects. 'Together we will find a cure,. Education of young people through the ROAR project Lions Sights Savers Trust to further the cure and prevention of blindness Wateraid and Dentaid projects to help poorer people gain access to clean water, sanitation hygiene education, dental care and oral hygiene education. Youth Trust Fund to facilitate recognised Lions Clubs International projects for youno people Encouraged people with intellectual disabilities to learn and take part in sporting activities in partnership with Special Olympics GB. A District Funday for disadvantaged children and those with disabilities along with their families. No. 1072984 Independent Examiners Report for the year ended 30th June 2024 I report on the accounts of Lions Club International Distn'ct 105SC Charity Account for the year ended 30th June 2024 which set out on pages 8 to 11 . The Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year and thal, by its constitution, an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: Examine the Income and Expenditure Account for District 105SC Charitable Trust as prepared by the District Finance Committee (Trustees) To state whether particular matters have come to my attention Indopandent Exarninar's roport on the accounts I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission. I have completed rny examination. I confirm no material matters have corne to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material aspect: Accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or The account do not accord with the accounting records. I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination lo which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. No. 1072984 Accountlng Pollci8s for the year ended 30th June 2024 Organisatlon The rules of the Charity are governed by a Trust Deed dated 1st July 1998 and registered with The Charity Commissioners for England & Wales approved on 17th December 1998 and as amerided September 2017 and June 2019. Trust Deed The Trust Deed is held by the District Treasurer and is available for inspection at any reasonable time. Revlew of Actlvltles The activities of the Charity continue to be in pursuance of its objectives. Activities are regularly reported at each cabinet meeting and also monitored at District Finance (Trustee) Ciommittee Meetings. Financial Review The detailed f'inancial position of tFie Charity is shown in the Financial Statements. The Charity continues to receive the majority of its income as voluntary donations. Some of the donations from Lions Clubs in the District are designated for specific purposes. On consolidation, payments are then made on a regijlar basis to the designated Charities. The Trustees consider the finances of the Charity to be satisfactory. Assets The Assets of the Charity consist solely of cash held with HSBC bank plc, Christchurch BranLh. Voluntary help received All administration of the Charity is provided free of charge with any indirect costs being charged to the Lions District 105SC Administration Account.
