Is entirely dependent (x) unpald volunteer helpers. cooks and drivers to ensure It runs smoothly. nclal Revi Total Income for the Charlty was £26,968 with a net Income after expenses recorded of £774. Totsl Unrestrlcted funds retained Increased from £61,072 to £61,847 of which £56.847 reflected General Funds and £5,(KKI a Desl8nated Fund to 511PPOrt replacement of the seatln8 required by members. Further explanatlons are provided in the notes to the Ststement of Flnancial Activities Reserve$ Poll The Day Centre followed Ch?rltTre5 Commlsslon guldance and established Its own policy agreed bv the Board of Dlrectors in 2(M)9 that 'the Day Centre should aspire to hold l year's turnover In reserve and If the reserve should drop to less than 6 month'5 turnover then the sltuation should be revlewed" The Reserves Pollcy has subsequently been revised and approved by the Board In 2018. It Is now based on expense5 rather than turnover making it more meanlngful and relevanL given the posslble fluctuations in tL•rnover.. Reserves are st511 comfortably over the benchmark wlth unrestrlcted funds of £61.847. Rlsk Mana ement The Day Centre has a108 of rfsk assessments whlch are perlodically reviewed and cover such areas as Operatin8 Rlsks, Governance Rlsks and Flnanclal Risks. These are revlewed regularly, with much attention being paid in the current year to ensurln8 that the policie5 and procedures adopted reflett the latest legal and operatlonal requirements, with a robust control process agreed. One of the major risks which could Impatt on its operatlon In its current form 5s ma5ntalnln81ts pool of volunteers, as well as finding stsitable replacement trustees. With the continuin8 pre55ure on adult social care bud8ets and the increased demand generally for voluntary resource, regular appeals are made for new volunteers, but it Is becoming increasingly difficu to maintain the required complement. An alternatlve strate8y is being developed to overcome this problem with the hire of more paid employees, subjert to its finandal vlability.

The Statement of Financial Artfvlties on the following pages details income and expenses by category and funds employed. They are based on the nature of the tran5artions ￿ported and are allowed under the SORP for smaller tharities which are below the charity audit threshold.
