CONGLETON AMATEUR YOUTH THEATRE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR EM)ED 31" JULY 2024 Objectives of the charity To educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts, to furth the development of public appreciation and tastes in the said arts (to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable puryoses as the conjmittee shall from time to time deternline) and in furtherance of this object but not otherwise. Review of activities The Society's receipts and payments account for the year is set out on pages 4 to 6. During the year, reimbursement of expenses to trustees totalled £4374.48. Statement of Trustee's responsibilities The Trustees are required to prq)are financial statements to each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Society and of the surplus or deficit of the Society for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the Tn]stees are required to . select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Soci¢ty. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Society and hence for taking reasonable steps for th¢ prev¢ntion and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
