In canying out this review the trustees have considered the Charity Commtssion'5 gcneral guidanoe on public benefit and in particulai. its supplementary public guidance on the advanteinent of relkgion for thc public bcnefit. Our dual aims rcmain to provide a facÉlity where Musliins Can worship and to provide a comll)unity facility for all the inhabitants of W8ndsworth. Our long-teiTh ambition is to build the self-confidence of Wandsworth's MIEslims in their faith, and through our ¢ommunity faciliti¢$ and activities help make our area a peaceful, vibrant and haiTronious community. Strattgies We w8nt to make our Mosquc an accessible and welcoming venue where all Muslims, or those who wish to know more abtsut our faith, ¢8n gathcr togcth¢r to l¢ai'n about theu. religion and worship. We are also fortunate to have facilities for wom¢n who wgnt to pray at th¢ Mosque. The Mosque is open for all five daily prayers, the Friday prayers being a focus of our activities. At our'know Islam b¢tter' events we share the t¢a¢hings of1s1a1 and th¢ nature of our faith with non-Musli2ns. In addition, we invite congregations from all th¢ local faith groups and s¢hool$ to visit us and learn moit aboui151am. An important part of our faith is charitable giving, according to one's wealth, in ae¢ordan¢¢ with 151am and we are pleased to receive Zakat for the sole purpose of the relief of need and fjnancial hardship of Muslims who have insufficient money to cover their basic needs for sl)elter, food, clothing, or who are destitute with no means of support.
