The Charity exists to cherish the history and beauty of St. Mary's Church Stoke by Nayland, a Grade 1 listed building over 500 years old, and to assist the PCC in the maintenance of its fabric and churchyard. It is a non-denominational organisation whose purpose is to raise funds to help preserve the building for future generations. The church features in paintings by Constable and others.
Objects: The Friends Is Established To Help The Parochial Church Council To Cherish The History And Beauty Of St Mary's Church, Stoke By Nayland , In The Diocese Of St Edmundsbury And Ipswich (Hereinafter Called 'The Church') , To Assist In The Maintenance Of Its Fabric And Its Churchyard, And To Preserve And Protect IT As A Place Of Christian Worship.
