**Objects:** THE FRIENDS IS ESTABLISHED TO HELP THE PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL TO CHERISH THE HISTORY AND BEAUTY OF ST MARY&#x27;S CHURCH, STOKE BY NAYLAND , IN THE DIOCESE OF ST EDMUNDSBURY AND IPSWICH (HEREINAFTER CALLED &#x27;THE CHURCH&#x27;) , TO ASSIST IN THE MAINTENANCE OF ITS FABRIC AND ITS CHURCHYARD, AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT IT AS A PLACE OF CHRISTIAN WORSHIP.

**Activities:** The Charity exists to cherish the history and beauty of St. Mary&#x27;s Church Stoke by Nayland, a Grade 1 listed building over 500 years old, and to assist the PCC in the maintenance of its fabric and churchyard. It is a non-denominational organisation whose purpose is to raise funds to help preserve the building for future generations. The church features in paintings by Constable and others.
