The Charity with sound financial management and tho support of the staff team and Management Committee members have no deficit to cerry over. The principle funding sources for the tharity are currentiy by way of granl funding through Lei¢ester City Counc41, NEG and Children in Need lo enable the charity to promde play support. As a result of constraints. th8 charity will naed to look for additional sourc£s of funding to provide increased sèrwces in future years. During the year. the charity made a surplus of £14,181 {2020.' deficit £10,826) The trustees have examined the chariws requirements for reserves in light of the risks to the organisation. It has established a policy whereby the reserves from this c¥Jming year will be invested in a high deposit account. The present18V81 of reserves ar8 a little low bul the organisation is seeking to raise this by seeking addilional funding from other sources. Plans for Future Periods The ch8rily plans to o)ntinue the activities outlined above in the forthcoming years subjecl to Ihe continuance of satisfactory funding arrangemenls. Structure Governance and Mana ement The organisation is a chantable company limited by guarantee. incorporated on 2nd April 1998. Under a Memorandum of Artides which established the objects and powers ot the haritable company and is governed under ils Arlicles of Association In the event of the company being wound up. mefflbets are required to contribute an amount not oxcoeding £10. The trustees have conducted a review of the major risk5 which the charity is exposed to. Appropriate systems and procedures have been established to mitigate Ihe risks that the charity faces. Intemal control risks are minimised by the implernentation of a financial policy and produre for authorisation of all transactions within the project.

The prcject currently has 4 trustees who meet every month and are responsible for the strategic directlon and policy of th8 charity. The trustees come from a variety of professional backgrounds relevant to the work of the charity. The manager is also responsible for ensuring that the charity delivers the services specrfiad, th8t key performance indicators are met and th8 day lo day operational rnanagement of the project. Tha manager has responsibility for the individual supermsion of the staff team and also ensuring that the team continue to develop their skills and worklng practices in line with good practice.
