TREASURERS REPORT 2022- 2023 Hello all Thank you all for comlng. What a year we have had. Our second full year slnce Covld hlt. the bank account has never looked better. We stsrted the year wlth £25.599.67, wFth £23,660.34 in the rnain turrent account. We had an amazing cash reserve to Start the membership year off. This year we have had 118 members join, making us the biggest club in Lancashire for the second year running. The club actually closed down in 1999 and was restsrted again in 2004. so for us to now be the biggest club in Lanca5hire. it is amaztng that the club is so strong and that we have such a large showing of members. But Just so people a￿ aware, I'm going to run through some figures to do with membershlp so you have an idea of how it works, and to give you an idea of how important it fs to get our members support in running our fundraiser events. It was decided at last yearfs AGM that new members of any age and mernbers who hadn't done any charFty hours would pay £70 to join. Members who had done over 10 hours. would get a membership at £60 and previous yearfs top table would get a free membership due to their large commitment to the club throughout the year. The dub has paid £78.86 per member costin8 us £9,305.95, of which we had to subsidise over £2,OOD.00. Room hire for the year has cost us £693.75, and we donated £2,500 to the Alzheimerf5 Society for being last yearfs charlty of the year. We also donated the £6.S(Kl raised by the log carry for the farming community network in this financial year. In terms of income this year, we have not done badly at all. In November, we kindly received £700 which was collected in memory of the late Joe Towers of Camp House Fami, Hornby. This money has been used to buy a 'P￿sIden¥5 Award trophv which will be awarded annually to a member chosen by our president, and stock judglng coats. In January we had another year of Christmas Tree collertions, bringing in £799.60 compared to last years £433.00. We had another successful muck haul In March, bringing in £3.344.60, and by attending Wray Fair. Caton Gala & Lowgill sports, these 3 events have collectively brought in £1,177.79. P311

The maln fundraiser for the year Is our Welly Ball. This year we have brought in £10,796.44 compared to last yearfs almost £12.000. However. this was an expected decrease due to last yearfs welly ball being our I1￿ one whlch we held a blgger event for. Finally. we were kindly gifted £775.00 from the Camforth Lidies NFU Social SectK)n upon there cease in July 2023. I want to say a huge well done and thank you to every￿ne who has helped organise and take part in these events. and give up theirtime to help raise moneyfor our club. Its events like these that help keep this club strong and healthy, meanlng we can hopefully go on for years to come. So that brings us on to the final tally. We end the year with £34,768.65, £32,811.81 of that in the current account, the rest in reserves. In total that glves u5 an on the books profit of £9,151.47 for the year. So thays the end of this yearfs report. It has been a prlvllege servin8 as the club's treasurer for the past year. Please remernber l am only a phone call away. Thankyou very much Kathryn Parker Treasurer Vale O'Lune Young Farmers aub f3ia
