Earls Colne Millennium Green Trust Annual General Meeting Wednesday 23rd April 2025, 8.00 , Chair's Report 2024 was a successful year for MG Following successful bid applications, we received a total of £23,644 in grants from Braintree District Council and Eastlight Community Housing. This meant that we were able to replace our old play equipment without having to use much of our capital. This project was managed safely and efficiently. The grass mats have greened up well so far and it is great to see how much use the new playground is getting. We held 4 meetings in 2024 and it was good to see new faces. We hosted a well-attended beacon lighting for the 80 anniversary of VE day and a less well attended village picnic I would like to thank all those who continue to support us, not least Dean for heading up maintenance of the green and Margaret who so effectively manages our fmances.

Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act')- I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given bythe Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination.
