Shirley Players resumed using the hall fur rehearsals and their <lUtUTnn production: One section of the bowls club continued to play on a Thursday morning throughout the sunllner and in October the London County Short Mal Bowls Club commenced using the hall on certain Sundays. Wedding receptions and othcT celebration parties are held at weekends. The boiler pump had to bc Teplaccd , giving a better heating performance. Various other general repairs were carricd out and Smart meters havc bccn installed. Following complaints from the occupiers of Rosewood Lodge and the two adjacent houses regFarding noise IcveIs at weekend events ( particularly in wam wcather,) the tire door leading onto the car park has been alamied. The area outside the opposite fire door ( on the eastern side) has been cleared and this can be opened causing less disturbance. The owner of one of houses has Lomplained about irresponsible car parking. IIe advised the Trustees that the car P<k marking ( undertaken several ye(Irs ago) had not fully covered his right of way. With his assistance a plan of the car park has been produccd , this allows for twenty five parking spaces and will give unimpLdLd access to his property. Tarniac repairs will be carried out bcfoTC the car park is re- marked , this work will be undcrtaken in 2024, As expected expenditurc increased but bookings income also increased which enabled £5,000 to be transferred to the Deposit Acoount. In the opinion of the Trustees the Hall is adequately insured against firc, theft and public liability.
