Summary of the objects of the ¢harlty $8t out In Its govemlng document Ty Gwyn Holiday Play Scheme is a charity that provides play and recreational activities in some of the half temi holidays for pupils of Ty Gwyn School from aged between 5 years and 19 years old. These activities take plaGe in a safe and supportive environment. The main activities of the tharity are '. 1. Arts, crafts and play to help explore creativity. 2. Sports and games, including swimming. 3. Music and Dance. 4. Day trips to different location giving childn a chance to explore new environments. Section D Achievements and erformance Summary of the main achievements of the charity durlng the year On th8 14 June 2021 the Charity was awarded a three-year grant from the National Lottery Community Fund. This grant enables the Charity to run the play scheme in four of the six half term holidays and rt just the summer holidays at it had done so for over 25 years. In the previous year to 17 June 2022 the charity was able to increase its pupil capacity from 24 to 65 children. During the year to 17 June 2023 the charity has been able to further Increase pupil capaclty by 12 pupils. During they year to 17 June 2023 the charity has been able to provide coach trips to Vlslt attradions at St Fagans, Cardiff Bay and Barry Island. The charity has bought computer equlpment for the children along with various arts and crafts that provide 8 variety of play opportunities. Plan8 for Futuro Actlvlty Our plans for future activity wlll Involve purchasing more iPads, an Eye Gaze machine and provlde access to swimming les80n8. Section E Financial review The charity 8urplu8 for the year ended 17 June 2023 amounted to £35,714 and our bank balances amounted to £101,106 at that date.
