In March 2017. the Nursery was designated as an Outstanding provider following an Ofsled inspection of the quality and standards of Early Year provision. The areas covered were effectiveness of leadership and management., quality of teaching, learning and assessment., personal developmenl, conduct and welfare; and outcomes for children. Extra training has been undertaken by all staff during the year which has resulted in improved Kent Progress Tracker ratings in the year. fter the Ofstéd Outstanding grading, the Nursery along with the Committee) have a well embedded eWvaluation which is al the heart of their daily ork. The nursery is focused on achieving the best ulcomes for our children, to deliver a stimulating nvironmenl which is constantly being improved. he Nursery consults families, the children and utside agencies regarding improvements and whal e nursery can do to improve future. This oom has been designed and implemented through he nursery selfevaluation lo identify the need for maller. quieter playroom for children who have dditional needs, are more sensitive to busy and oud areas. and may need higher staff support. The nursery staff reflect and evaluate their own practice within the nursery alongside the anager and committee. We ensure the constant ocus for staffs own personal growth and ev&lopment. Providing training tailored to their Irenglhs and targets of growth. This includes ntribuling lo the staff next childcare qualification. The nursery welcomes the children's families into the setting regularly. in tailor made essions to promote parent engagement. We use is lime lo model practice, whilst listening lo the arent's ideas of growth and effectively implement hem into our improvement plans. ensuring they feel eard and valued. The nursery works alongside South Kent College lo ensure a safe and high-quality earning environment for students.
