In March 2017. the Nursery was designated
as an Outstanding provider following an Ofsled
inspection of the quality and standards of Early
Year provision. The areas covered were
effectiveness of leadership and management.,
quality of teaching, learning and assessment.,
personal developmenl, conduct and welfare;
and outcomes for children.

This Gontinued raling, together with the
commitment of the Nursery Staff and Manager,
has further increased the excellent reputation of
the Nursery locally. and has resulted in anothèr
successful year. with children's numbers at full
capacity and greater integration of children from
families in the Armed Forces with other local
communities.
Extra training has been undertaken by all staff
during the year which has resulted in improved
Kent Progress Tracker ratings in the year.

The nursery has opened another children's
playroom. which is now our second pre-
chool room, to cater for the high demand of
hildren's applications the nursery receives. This
oom has been designed and implemented through

The nursery staff reflect and evaluate their own
practice within the nursery alongside the

The nursery welcomes the children's families
into the setting regularly. in tailor made

The nursery works alongside South Kent
College lo ensure a safe and high-quality
earning environment for students. Providing them
he best start and encouragement to be outstanding
ractitioners in their future career. The nursery staff

o ensure each student is reaching their full
otenlial and leam the value of their p)silion.
The nursery works hard lo ensure the outside
environment, 15 a learning, stimulating and
ngaging environment. Many of our families live in
ccommodalion wilhoul the access to outside
pace. We consult the children and encourage the
hildren lo help us with our next project. We
valuate all our improvements with the children and
esign what to do next. Such as vegetable growing
reas, to plant. grow, harvest. and eat al snack
imes. This has been a great success. developing
hildren's language skills. working together and
heir knowledge of how things happen.
