Trustees Annual Report to Charity Commission 1/9/2022-30/08/2023

Playgroup is run to provide pre-school education for 2- 5 year olds and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum as set out nationally and we are registered and inspected by Ofsted. Our last Inspection report in March 2023 judged Playgroup as ‘Good’ across the board.

Playgroup has adopted the Pre-school Learning Alliance (Early Years Alliance) Constitution 2011. Playgroup holds regular committee meetings and committee members are elected from parents, families and friends of Playgroup at the AGM held in the summer each year.

Playgroup has policies in place to cover all statutory requirements and those recommended for good practice by the Pre-school Learning Alliance (Early Years Alliance). Playgroup has designated Safeguarding, SEND, Health and Safety, and Behaviour Management officers.

We continue to offer 30 hour free child to be part of our setting. We provided excellent care and education, maintaining our professional staff team who are all dedicated to providing outstanding service to Playgroup families and working together with our Committee and all stakeholders to keep the family and community feel in our Playgroup. The increase in national minimum wage and no change in early years funding, continues to be an issue. However due to all child vacancies being utilised this academic year, Preschool was able to make a profit £5925
