Humanitarian charitable support Our objectives are set to reflect our faith and community aims. Each year the trustees review these objectives and activities to ensure they continue to reflect our aims. In carrying out this review the trustees have considered the Charity Commission's general guidance on the advancement of religion for the public benefit. Our dual aims remain to provide a facility where Muslims can worship and be a community centre catering for the needs of the local community. Our long-term ambition is to build the self-confidence of the local Muslim community in their faith, and through our community facilities and activities and to make them as positive contributors not only to the local community but also to the society at large. Strategies We want to make our facility an accessible and welcoming venue where all Muslims and those who wish to know more about our faith, can come to learn about Islam. An important part of our faith is charitable giving, according to one's wealth, in accordance with Islam and we are pleased to receive Zakat for the sole purpose of the relief of those in need and financial hardship and of those who have insufficient money to cover for their basic needs for shelter, food, clothing, or who are destitute with no means of support. Also an important part of our strategy is community welfare and education. All our community activities including classes, health initiatives, workshops and seminars are widely advertised and we welcome the participation of all in our local community. Most of our activities are free and supported by donations. Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the ststutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) TAR

The trustees review these risks and are satisfied that systems are in place, or arrangements are in hand, to manage the risks that have been identified.
