Para 1.20 We have held several events at the club
over the period in question. An
educational day on shipwright skills,
inviting local skilled people to
demonstrate the old marine skills of the
past.
We had an open fun day ,where we
celebrated
Day 80 and had a freedom trail asking
relevant questions of the day giving
clues, and holding an exhibition assisted
by some of the relics from the local
museum. We had fun with all sorts of
water activities and invited the scouts to
have a raft building competition . We had
some dinghy sailing racing . BBQ and
other cakes activities and competitions.
We have held a Christmas sail with carols
mulled wine and mince pies in December
for the members.
We have held 3 evenings of instructor
based sailing, followed by an end of year
awards ceremony, and AGM.
We have held some social sails and also
during the winter, plus we have had the
RYA to come and upskill our instructors
for some training.
We have held a social for all our older
and passed members as a reunion social
event.
We had a visit from HRH Princess Ann to
the club.
We have achieved the ‘Green Club of the
Year award with the RYA’ after our
investment in E outboards and Solar
panels to charge the batteries.
For extra funding we have rented the
facilities out to other organisations and
schools

Independent examlner's report to the trustees of West Wilts Youth Sailing Association I report to the trustees on my examlnation of the accounts of the West Wilts Sailing Association (the Twst) for the year ended 31 December 2024. Responsibilitles and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent examlner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attentlon should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understandlng of the accounts to be reached.
