Gods Kingdom Society (GKS) Church is a UK charity registered with the Charity Commission of England & Wales. The organisation is managed by the administrative committee and a board of tnjstees. Trustees are selected on the basis of the contribution that they will make to the govemance of the organisation and the skills tsy can contribute. To vindicate, admonish, preach and impart to mankind irrespective of colour. creed or race the wholesome idea of servi. fear, adoration and reverence to God Almighty, the Maker of man, the Author of Life, and the Great Ruler and Architect of the Universe. To excrte the interest of Africans and all people of the earth to study the Holy Bible. the Christian ethics and theology and to promote all means and measures conducive to the propagation of this knowledge for the eventual peace and realisation of harmony and tranquillty among all people of the human ra in accordance with scriptural ideology. Ob ectives and Activities The principal activrty of the charity is to propagate the saving gospel of Jesus Christ all over the world and to educate young people in accordance with Christian principles. The trustees have given regard to the charities commission guidance on public benefit and in particular. the guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. The GKS is committed to enabling as many people as possible to join us for worship at our church and to beGome members and part of our Christian communty. In doing so she provides a benefft to the public by: Providing a facility for public worship. pastoral care, spiiitual, moral and intellectual development for members and anyone who wishes to benefft from what the church offers Promoting Christian values and service by members of the church, to one another as well as in and to their communittes for the benefft of individuals and society as a whole. To enable member5 and welkwishers to put 1r faith into Fxactice, the charity is involved in numerous day-t(Hlay church activities and other actsvibes, which are advertised and made available freety to members of the public and the communty. GODS KINGDOM SOCIETY (GKS) CHURCH Report of Tho Trustees for Year Ended 31 December 2023 Achievements and Performance Despite the challenges of the past couple of years, 2023 tumed out to be an exciting year for the Church. Back in July 2021. following the govemment removal of the Covid-19 restrictions, physical gathering and worship resumed at the church premises and a noticeable effect of the pandemic was the reduction in the number of people physically attending for worship. The following year 2022. the Church retumed to some of norn[ty, the Post covid numbers of members arKI guests attending regular Sunday Servi increased, but not back to the same numbers as we had seen prior to the pandemic. In 2023, all this was to thange and the year brought some rnuch-ne relief. with Covid, high inflation and the cost-of-living crisis receding further into the background. We experienced signifi'cant progress and growth in the physical and sritUal life of the church. During the year, we experienced good growth in attendan at vrt)rship, both physical and online services March 2023 witnessed the promotion of a conscientious and dedicated Sister. in the person of Sister Adaze Arubi. By the grace of God, she was elevated to become a member of GKS women fellowship Commrttee (UK). The book of Psalms states that ,Forpr(yn0t cometh neither from the east, norfrom the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge." he putteth down one, and setteth up another., (Psalm 75.6-7). We thank God Almighty for her promotion and it is our eamest prayer that God Almighty help her in the effective discharge of her duties and performance in her new role. GKSR ional Units With the digrtal arKI online aSkl of our Servi and w0h1p well and truly established, 2023 also witnessed the re-establishment of GKS regional unrts, principally the units in Nottingham and Manchester, affording members and guests, the opportunty to participate via a balance of in-person and online worship depending on their individual circjjmstances and situation. In May, GKS Manchester unit, organised and hosted the 151 Annual Northwest and Midland UK Mass Meeting and Symposium. The event was held in Fallowfield, Manchester and the theme was "Coping wilh the thallery of Christian Y(xth in our times.. The ev&tt &0Ved to be an overwhelming success to the glory of God, attra(#ing participants from Vle ranging places, as far as London to Newcastle and numerous towns arKI etties in bthn.
GODS KINGDOM SOCIETY (GKS) CHURCH Report of The Trust88s for Year Ended 31 December 2023 Youth Activities The Gods Kingdom Society's Youth Assembly was held in the UK, from Thursday 1P to Sunday 20 August 2023 at the Universty of Brighton's Eastboume campus. As usual, the aim of the conference is to transfotm, inspire and educate students and youths on becoming good asset to the communty through positive Christian attitude and behaviour as well as to showcase the praises of God Almighty. The 2023 youth assembly tumed out to be largest and grarKlest youth conference held in the UK to date. This year we were extremely honoured and privileged to be joined for the duration by two members of the Lord's Ministy. the Vice President of the Church, Brother T.M Ekisowei and a Senior Minister of the Church, Brother T. Ugoii. Youths from all over the county were joined by trEir fellow youths from various parts of the world and converged at the Universty of Brighton's Eastboume campus for a wide-ranging programme of activities, featuring a host of different spiritual exercises. induding the extremely popular bible quiz COMtitIOns. The youths were addressed by the Minister on the subject Wiat it means to be a True Christian.. They also participated in sporting activities, musical performances and drama. In addition to the seminars, talks and panel discussions on offer, there was also the opportunty for 1-2-1 counselling sessions for delegates right from junior school level. through to post graduate level. These sessions covered areas in personal and academic counselling, as well as CV & Cover letter preparation, Linkedln. Job search and entran assessment guidan. For the keynote address, we were joined online by the President of the Church Brother F.E Adedokun, who delivered his address entitled: The Danger in Being Spiritually Careless. via zoom. The 2023 Youth Assembly was On again a highly inspiring, informative event and an ovenNhelming success to the glory of God and Jesus Christ. Freedom Da Celebration The Gods Kingdom SocidYs Freedom Day celebration in the UK was held on the 22nd October 2023. This event would also tum out to be another milestone event for the UK Church. Due to the numbers of members. guests and invitees that expressed an interast to attend, the decision was made to hire an extemal venue for the event, rather than use the church premises. A venue in Croydon was selected and hired for the event This year, we were extremely honoured and privileged to welcome the President of the Church Brother F.E Adedokun, who led and presided over the Freedom Day celebrations in the UK. In his opening address. the President laid emphasis on the Freedom and Redemption that Jesus Christ brought to mankind through his birth and death.
GODS KINGDOM SOCIETY (GKS) CHURCH Report of The Trnstees for Year Ended 31 December 2023 The President's main message for the Freedom Day celebrations was entitled: 'Cleansing ourselves of all Filthiness of the Flesh arKI Spirir. Following the Presidenys message, there were perfomiances from various choral groups, before a Senior Minister of the Church, Brother T. Ugoji was called on to tske the sermon entitled: YNas Christ bom on Christmas Daf. In his sennon, the minister traced the birth of Jesus Christ, through the pages of the bible, from the Old Testament to the New Testament and was able to successfully prove from the bible chronology that Jesus Christ coukl not have been bom in December, but rather the evidence from the bible establishes his birth in October. Approximately 450 people atten the 2023 Freedom Day celebraknn in the UK, making it the largest celebration in the UK to date and all ended well to the to the glory of God and his beloved son Jesus Christ. Charitable Givin & t)onations The church continues to provide financial support and donations, nationally and intemationally as helping those in need is a practical demonstration of our faith Support and donated funds are used for, but rK)t limited to: Building and repair of places of worship, provision of Bible-based literature. study material and sernions and other means to facilitate the worship of God. Assistance is also provided for humanitrian aid and disaster relief and capacity building. FinanGial support and contributions were made to the following: For the development and rna1ntenan of St Urhobo Square in Salem Crty Warri For assistance towards various Branches, induding Canada & Abuja Branches For the young indigent Wdows appeal GKS Women fellowship (Nigeria & Abroad) A clinic and charity school in Warri Neria Members of the welfare committee, sisters committee and other volunteers continued to support members of the church as well as other vulnerable indNiduals in cash and goods. This financial support arKI donations provided lo(xlty. nationally and intemationally were of immense benefit to both individual recipients as well as receiving organizations. The trustees and the administrative committee give our thanks. gratttuts and sinre appreciation to God Almighty and his beloved son Jesus Christ, for their continuing goodness and abundant provision, which has enabled tfE thurch to experienfx unwecedented level of growth in so many areas of operations during 2023. We are also extremely grateful to ali members. friends and welWIsherS for the level of support we have received from them throughout the year.

The principal funding source for the church is from members, contributions in the fomi of tithes, free-will offerings. and other donations. The church dS not raise funds from the general public arKI neither does it engage any third parties to do this on behalf of the thurth. Total receipts of funds for the year were £231,639 (£188,409; 2022), representing an increase of 22.940A from the previous year. The administrative committee and the trustees are On again very grateful to Jehovah, The Almighty God, and all those who have donated in one way or the other for such an abundant increase. Resources Expended:. Total expended for the year was £219.530 (£138,757; 2022), which represents an increase of 58.210h from the previous year. Of this, £188.319 was spent on charitable activities and £24,502 on general overhead expenses. Charrtable activities induded £98,425 spent in ongoing support for the Ministry, of which £17,000 lated to the purchase and upgrading of streaming and broadcast equipment. Assistance was also provided for repairs and Maintenan of church buildings and service halls. As well as funds spent on Home offi sponsorship and visa applications, facilitating the organisation of travel arrangements and the upkeep of visiting ministers. £11,888 was spent on health-related expenses and Insuran and £5,921 was spent on support and assistance to intemational branches of the thurch. £38,153 was spent on evangelism and gospel propagation and £13,461 was spent on charitable donations. A total of £13,751 was spent on welfare related expenses and assistance to members. This induded fvrKls that were provided to support the elderly, bereaved, sick, mothers with new bom babies and others that required assistan. Miscellaneous expenses for the year were £6.709, of which £5,031 related to the purchase of streaming and broadcast equipment and £3.243 was related to choir expenses and purchase of music equipment
GODS KINGDOAf SOCIETY(GKS) CHURCH Report of The Tmstees for Year Ended 31 Decemb8r 2023 Balance Sheet:_ The balance sheet has increased during the year by £17,301. Key movement in the year include an increase in cash of £9,629 from (2022), a slight increase in debtors of £3,110 from (2022) The net result for the year was a net surplus of £12.109 and an overall increase to the value of the balance sheet by £17,301. Risk Mana ement The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the church is exposed to and are satisfied that sufficiently robust systems are in place to manage these risks. The principal risk identified by the trustees whidi the church is exposed to, is her continued dependence on voluntary income. Our primary and most utilised mode of revenue collection had been collection of tithes, offerings at our weekly Sunday SeiCe and via special events popularly referred to as 'Launchings' where members and well-wishers would present their financial gFfts. The church financEs are kept under review arKI trustees will continue to monitor the yearly budgets and to adj.ust them as necessary in light of prevailing situation and conditions. Appropriate insurance cover arKI procedures are also in pla to ensure Complian with the health and safety of members and visitors. Future Develo ents The trustees aim to continue with a regular programme of rna1ntenan works and repairs, to preserve and enhance the church pror* and facilities. In addition to this, the trustees will also continue to explore different ways and options of furthering our charitable objectives in and out of the community effectively and to engage in creating positive change in the moral and spiritual dimate which refiects our Christian ethos and beliefs.

In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to: Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently. Make judgemerrts and estimates that are reasonable arKI prudent. Prepare financial statements on an ongoirffJ basis. unless it is irk9ppropriate to presume that ts charity will conb.nue in operation. The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate records whith disdose with reasonable accuracy the finances of the church at any time and to ensure that such accounts comply with the Charities Act 2011. They also have a responsibilty to safeguard the assets of the church and to take reasonable steps to deted fraud or other irregularities.
