THE ACADEMY'S PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY IS SHARING AND CO-ORDINATING THE WORK OF THE MEDICAL ROYAL COLLEGES AND FACULTIES. THE ACADEMY PRODUCES GENERIC DOCUMENTS AND BRINGS TOGETHER EXPERTS IN ITS SUBCOMMITTEES TO SHARE BEST PRACTICE AND ENSURE THE MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS OF TRAINING AND EDUCATION.
Objects: The Protection And Preservation Of Health And The Relief Of Sickness By Supporting Promoting And Co-Ordinating The Work Of The Medical Royal Colleges And Their Faculties As Defined In Their Respective Charters And By Providing A Forum For Discussion And Collaboration Among The Medical Royal Colleges And Their Faculties (but Without Prejudice To The Autonomy Of Each Such Body) So As To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Efficiency And Effectiveness Of The Medical Royal Colleges And Their Faculties
