Activities
Disability Action in Islington (DAII) is an organisation run by and for disabled people. Provides free information, advice, user-involvement and peer support services for local disabled people, and a range of training and consultancy services to the voluntary, statutory and business sectors. All DAII projects and services are based on the social model of disability.
Objects: To Enable Disabled People In The London Borough Of Islington With A Physical, Sensory, Cognitive Or Hidden Impairment To Achieve And Maintain Choice, Control And Independence In Their Lives;(b) To Enable Disabled People With A Physical, Sensory, Cognitive Or Hidden Impairment To Access Services, Entitlements And Opportunities;(c) To Promote A More Accessible And Inclusive Environment For Disabled People With A Physical, Sensory, Cognitive Or Hidden Impairment And Promote The Understanding Of The Social Model Of Disability; And(d) To Effectively Represent The Views, Needs And Interests Of Disabled People With A Physical, Sensory, Cognitive Or Hidden Impairment.
