Our internship programme was restarted iti September 2021 and as society op¢ned up, we had lltore opportimitie5 for volunteers to serve alongside tL$. actual in-person activities were curtailed during the year. The number of volunteers itlvolved in delivering our programmcs 04.T volLll)leers we support WOTkeTs and coaches in our cornmunEty fi)otball outreach progrdnw and 8om¢ involved iti ailn)iniskntive support. We were unable to Tun as many camps as in pr¢vious yeaTS to restrictions from the gov¢nllnent about m¢¢iin8 and sociaj distancing. Despite this we were still able to delxver two camp5 at Easter and seven in the Sutthmer holidays as restrictions were Telaxed, enabling us to senr 289 children and their families. The feedback wa4 ovenvheln]ingly N)sitive, with families of participartts enthusiastic and Iwal partners pl¢&4ed that they were njaking n¢w ¢ontacts in their ¢ommunilies atrj bringing about a posilive irnpact tbTough tbe Weekly Football Clubs We Continued to support ¢hurche8 that nut their own football clubs for youity ¢h]"Idren and athilts. Most have a theme each week such as reyct, tenwrt or confidence. Through the football we ¢TDpha5ise these values and build upon th¢m as the year goes on. These activities started again in the second ha]f of 2021 and w¢ arc encouraged to see how they ¢an develop into the ture. Tourn8]llellts We were able to 0¢ again host the National Cljristian Football Fesiival and the tx>ndon Chur¢hes Fojtball Toumwnt after a iwo year hiatus. This resulted in more than 400 adults and children having the ability to gather logeth¢r for tbe fwst tirn¢ ID two years to celebrnt¢ life and ¢omnwnity. Tours A tour to Spain went ahead after a two year gap. Thi5 wa5 very well received by ow partfter agency in Granada alld by the participant8- of whom re¢wn¢d after touring in previous years. Fundrai$ing Aetlvldes In 2021 we were able to renew participation in some fun TU[ and other fund raising activities. This in¢ludd the Chsyter Metric Marathon and the London Marathon. FiDYaiici8I rtvlew Finaneial posltSt)n In a similar way to 2020. we did not generate &$ much income from our activities in 2021 due to ¢ffc¢ts of polieies relating lo Covid-19. but we also did not spd as much money for the same reason. As a result, we were able to maintain our resee$ ar a rdte recoTmnended by the Charity Comtni&sion. This is also a reflection on our consistent, robust monitoring ofspending and i%)me throughout the year. lllvestmeDt poli¢y •nd obje¢tlves The trustees aim to keep funds in a higher Tate savings accounl at least to the amount of the charityls reserve. The trLLSt¢¢$ will instruct the directors to cstablish an investtnent policy for use if and when fuuds are available for inv¢8tin8 on a longer t¢rni basis, however thi$ has not been needed in 2021.
