Flnancial Review The accounts of the tharity are prepared on a receipts and payments basis. As such, they represent a snap shot of the charity's activity over a period of time. During the period of these accounts, events organised by the charity were still recovenng from the Covid pandemic, the charity changed bank accounts, accounting software, and the Treasurer. Because of these complications some grants were paid some time after the events from which funds had been raised. Even taking this into account, the charity dearly generated a surplus from the proceeds of fundraising and events in excess of £20,000 towards its charitable purposes. The charity has no staff, and the only financial commitments are certain grants which are planned every year. The charity maintains a minimum reserve of £2000 towards forward commitments and towards events costs incurred before the income from the event The charity only makes grants On￿ generated funds are in the account, so there is never a risk of not having enough money to meet commitments.
