CARERS FEDERATION LTD TRUSTEES, REPORT (INCLUDING DIRECTORS. REPORT) (CONTINUED) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 Impact of a penslon asset ari•lng from the definèd ￿nefft penslon scheme The surplus presented as al 31 March 2025 of £1,538.000 (2024.. £553,000) has been calculated to meet the requirements of FRS102. FRS102 ￿qUireS the use of a prescribed discount rate based on corporate bond yields, which can be very volatile. Contributron5 to the Nottlnghamshire County Council LGPS Fund ar8 set at ea¢h triennial valualion of the Fund, based on a discount rate derived from assumptions about future retums from Ihe Fund's investment strategy, whlch results in a much lower valuation of liabllltles than a discount rate based on corporate bond yields and consequently a smaller deficit. Therefore, the FRS102 deflcAt has no direct bearing on the contributlons pald to the Nottinghamshire Local Government Pension Scheme.
