Objectives and activities

Summary of Objectives

Our charity objectives are:

TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER THE ENJOYMENT AND UNDERSTANDING OF BRASS BAND MUSIC FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC AND IN SUPPORT OF OTHER LOCAL CHARITIES.

Summary of Activities

In July 2022 the members passed a motion to dissolve the charity and replace it with 3 separate CIOs.

This process has not yet been completed.

Hawk Green Band and The Marple Band have continued to run as they have always done, planning their activities keeping in mind the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit.

There is no proper management structure charity and all efforts have been focussed on the replacement CIOs.

The annual return for 2022/23 was eventually submitted 154 days late.

The individuals previously responsible for running the bandroom have continued to do so to the best of their abilities.

An AGM has not been held.
