Representatives of Bedale High School Governing Body, acting in their capacity as trustees for the fund, reviewed and adopted the Annual Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31st March 2024 on behalf the trustees. The accounts were audited by Mr M Fletcher.

The trustees of the account during the period and up to the date of this report are:

The object of the fund is to advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing or assisting the provision of education, recreational and other charitable facilities in augmentation of such facilities financed by the Local Education Authority.

During the year the main activities of the fund were:

 Various Educational Trips

Income for the year was £85318 (22-23: £39418) of which 79% related to monies collected to pay for educational trips. Charity fundraising by Bedale High School pupils amounted to £962.

At the end of the year, the school fund held cash amounting to £35555, of which £27454 was committed for various ad hoc activities.

In relation to the balance of funds, £5000 is kept in a current account with the remaining funds held in a deposit account with the Nat West Bank.

The auditor’s fee is paid by the fund whilst the administration of the fund is met from the general school budget.

The school fund has no restricted funds.
