JOHN HARROX COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL FUND Trustees. Annual Report for the year ended 31 August 2025 John Harrox Primary Sch¢)ol fund is a registered charity, No. 1046467 run by the trustee5 of the charity. The registered and principal address is The John Harrox Primary School, Broad Lane, Moulton. Spalding, PE12 6PN. The charity trustees during the year to 31 August 2025 were= R Edgeley H Watts L Howling L Pennington J Adams K Wilson J Lumley S J Enoch Day A Capper D Pilsworth G Cooper Chair The charity's objectives is to advan the edLJcation of the pupils of The John Harrox Primary School by providing or assisting in the provision of educational, reGreational and olher charitable activities in Augmentation of such facilities financed by the local education authority. The Fund received several signrficant donations, including £3,250 from the Moullon Harrox Education Foundation and £3,000 from the Moulton Poor Trust. The grant from the Moulton Poor Trust was used to provide financial assistance to families who would olherwise have been unable to participate in educational visits. including residential trips and swimming activities. Additional donations in¢luded £843.99 from the Friends of the Schoolg (FOSI, which was used to purchase large games and activities for the playground. Further fundraising activrties generated £61.66 at the Music Concert and £1 $4.80 on World Book Day, both of which were used to purthase new books for the school library. The School Fund also facilitated charitable fundraising activities during the year. Collections raised £240.35 for Yellow Day (Heallhy Minds), £325.10 for Children in Need, £314.41 through a Pyjama Day event. and £272.68 for Comic Relief. These funds have been remitted, or are in the Pro8$ of being remitted, to the relevant charities. Income from uniform sales exceeded expenditure during the year due to stock purchased in the previous financial yeai being sold in the current period. Swimming receipts also exeded direct expenditure recorded wrthin the School Fund., however, this reflects the fact that pool hire and swimming instructor costs were met from the school budget, while transport costs were paid through the Fund. Overall, th8 total cost of providing swimming lessons exceeded parental contributions. Similarly. receipts relating to the Young Voices event exceeded expenditure recorded wthin the Fund because registration fees and T-shirts were paid from the school budget, while transport Gosts were met from the School Fund. Additional fundraising for this event was undertaken through the sale of I poles, raising £377.05.
JOHN HARROX COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL FUND Trustees. Annual Report for the year ended 31 August 2025 The Fund continued to support a variety of educational visits and enrichment aclivilies. Income relaling to the Malham residential visit represented final parental contributions towarlls the trip undertaken in October 2024. Contributions towards the Year 6 Fun Farm visit covered approximately half of the total cost, with the remaining balan funded by the School Fund. Receipts for a Key Stage 2 visit to Flag Fen relate to an event taking place in the subsequent financial year. with associated expenditure to be incurred in that period. Key Stage 1 visits to Burghley House and the S¢ience Dome were subsidised through the School Fund, which mel transport and entrance costs not covered by parental contributions. During the year, £13,117.50 was invested in property improvemenls, including maintenance and decoration works. enhancing the school environment for pupils and staff. At the year end, the School Fund held reserves of £120,315. The trustees consider this to be healthy level of reserves, providing financial stability and enabling the Fund to continue supporting educational activities, pupil welfare initiatives, capital improvements, and, where necessary, contributions towards school budget requirements. Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of JOHN HARROX COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL FUND for the year ended 31 August 2025 I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts for the charity , which are set out on pages 4 to 6. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charilies Ad 2011 ('the Act,). I report in respect of my examination of the charity's accounts ¢arried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Ind6pendent examiner's statement I have completed rny examination. I confirm that no malerial matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect.. 1) accounting records were not kept in respect of the charty as required by section 130 of the Act., or 2) Ihe accounts do not accord wth those records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection wth the examination lo which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
