The charity's objectives is to advan￿ the edLJcation of the pupils of The John Harrox Primary
School by providing or assisting in the provision of educational, reGreational and olher
charitable activities in Augmentation of such facilities financed by the local education authority.
The Fund received several signrficant donations, including £3,250 from the Moullon Harrox
Education Foundation and £3,000 from the Moulton Poor Trust. The grant from the Moulton
Poor Trust was used to provide financial assistance to families who would olherwise have been
unable to participate in educational visits. including residential trips and swimming activities.
Additional donations in¢luded £843.99 from the Friends of the Schoolg (FOSI, which was used
to purchase large games and activities for the playground. Further fundraising activrties
generated £61.66 at the Music Concert and £1 $4.80 on World Book Day, both of which were
used to purthase new books for the school library.
The School Fund also facilitated charitable fundraising activities during the year. Collections
raised £240.35 for Yellow Day (Heallhy Minds), £325.10 for Children in Need, £314.41 through
a Pyjama Day event. and £272.68 for Comic Relief. These funds have been remitted, or are in
the Pro￿8$ of being remitted, to the relevant charities.
Income from uniform sales exceeded expenditure during the year due to stock purchased in
the previous financial yeai being sold in the current period. Swimming receipts also ex￿eded
direct expenditure recorded wrthin the School Fund., however, this reflects the fact that pool hire
and swimming instructor costs were met from the school budget, while transport costs were
paid through the Fund. Overall, th8 total cost of providing swimming lessons exceeded parental
contributions.
Similarly. receipts relating to the Young Voices event exceeded expenditure recorded wthin the
Fund because registration fees and T-shirts were paid from the school budget, while transport
Gosts were met from the School Fund. Additional fundraising for this event was undertaken
through the sale of I￿ poles, raising £377.05.

JOHN HARROX COUNTY PRIMARY SCHOOL FUND
Trustees. Annual Report
for the year ended 31 August 2025
The Fund continued to support a variety of educational visits and enrichment aclivilies. Income
relaling to the Malham residential visit represented final parental contributions towarlls the trip
undertaken in October 2024.
Contributions towards the Year 6 Fun Farm visit covered approximately half of the total cost,
with the remaining balan￿ funded by the School Fund. Receipts for a Key Stage 2 visit to Flag
Fen relate to an event taking place in the subsequent financial year. with associated
expenditure to be incurred in that period.
Key Stage 1 visits to Burghley House and the S¢ience Dome were subsidised through the
School Fund, which mel transport and entrance costs not covered by parental contributions.
During the year, £13,117.50 was invested in property improvemenls, including maintenance
and decoration works. enhancing the school environment for pupils and staff.
At the year end, the School Fund held reserves of £120,315. The trustees consider this to be
healthy level of reserves, providing financial stability and enabling the Fund to continue
