Chair person report 2024/2025 Polzeath surf life saving Club Another successful year for the club in and out of the water, with SLSGB changing the criteria around safety cover great to have a huge amount 40 now part of our safety team at nipper training sessions and also members of the club showing the longevity of the club, we need to keep looking to identify parents who have skills we could utilize in every area of the club. The competitions went well for the club for another season success had in all sections of the club and great to see 53 nippers at the Cornish most we have ever sent. The lease is still going on we work hard to resolve the issues we have done the steps down to the beach to help get lease closer but still no movement from the landlord we have made the decision just to leave is going along in the background now as other options are coming up. Everybody's hard work over this year again has seen rewards In all every area of the club
The Club committee and coaches had a massive responsibility again this year as numbers kept rising every time we have an intake the waiting list just gets bigger, with training on the beach, thank everyone for their help, support, and professionalism in this year. Across the club in competitions, life guard training, lifesaving we have had great rewards for everybody's hard work over this year and many more years before that. Thank you one and all for everything you do for this fantastic community club.

The Trustees are given a full understanding of the clubs ongoing income and liabilities. With this information both procurement decisions and fundraising strategies are agreed at Trustee meetings. A prudent approach is taken to maintain the financial health of the club overthe long term. SEclloN F- OTHER INFORMATION The club is currently under a holding lease for the premises, awaiting confirmation of agreed terms with the landlord to secure a further 25 years.
