Name: Newbald Playing Field Association Charity No: 1043431 Address: Playing Field, Off South Newbald Road, North Newbald, York YO43 4SX Trustees: Matthew Smith Philip Grimes Structure and management: We are a non profit making voluntary run committee raising funds to maintain and improve our playing field and playground. We are managed by a small committee of around 8-10 people with a wider group of family and friends as volunteers. Trustees Appointed: Trustees recruited from committee Activities and Objectives: Our objective is to provide a progressive, safe, clean sports field, children’s play area and general facility for the community of Newbald and surrounding district
In doing so, particular emphasis will be placed on promoting facilities, activities and events which:
- Bring the community together • Encourage participation
• Are open and accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, disability or race • Are well organised and/or maintained • Make a positive difference • Bring sustainable benefits • Are environmentally acceptable
Achievements and performance: In this financial year we achieved funds through our race night, carols on the green and gala events. Financial Review: The NPFA do not hold any outstanding debts or reserves.

Newbald Playing Field Association Independent examiner's report on the accounts Charity number 1043431 I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 31 March 2024 set out on page 3. Responslbilltles and basls of report As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordan with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('Ihe Acr). I report in resped of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. Independent examiner's statement The charity's gross income exceeded £25,000 and l am qualified to undertake the examination by being a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the fomi and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fairf view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
