Summary ofthe main
achievements
ofthe charity
during the year
This year, our organisation
has had to adapt how Guiding could be
delivered
due to the restrictions
imposed
by COVID-19. Members
have
been accessing the Guiding activities through
face-to-face meetings,
when allowed,
and through
emails and virtual
platforms
such as Zoom.
The range ofactivities at local group level continues to be based on the
Girlguiding
programme,
with leaders creatively
adapting itto ensure all
girls, regardless of background
and individual
needs, continue to get a
broad and varied set ofactivities that challenge
and motivate
them.
The year 2020 has also seen Girlguiding
Hampshire
North celebrate its
Golden Jubilee and celebrated
through
the creating ofa challenge
badge.
This proved especially successful through
the first lockdown
as
tasks were suited to girls doing them independently
or within
a group.
Alongside
this, members
have continued
to achieve personal goals.
Young members
have achieved quahfications
relevant to their age
group - Queen's
Guide Awards,
Duke of Edinburgh
Awards
and section
Gold Awards.
In addition,
our leaders have extended
their own
knowledge
and qualifications
in order to offer the girls ever greater
opportunities.
These have included
leadership
qualifications,
residential
qualifications,
First Aid qualifications
and Safe Guarding
training.
