Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
The Friends of Chadlington School Association had another great fundraising year, generating a gross income of £25,198, resulting in a net income of £12,693.
Our biggest fundraising activity is the Chadlington Beer Festival which raised £12,012 this year thanks to the hard work of volunteers to recruit sponsors and make the day itself a success
We are also very grateful to our volunteer bakers. We occasionally rent the church at Chastleton to sell teas to National Trust visitors, and in July we raised £522 in just one afternoon. The disco was also supported by bake sales that took place alongside ticket sales, and overall, the disco raised £143.
We have been very happy to provide funds for new playground furniture (£1,586) and accessories for the beautiful new outdoor classroom (£7,849).
We provided £8,233 for school trip buses and £1,787 to support the School’s Christmas party and provide treats for the Year 6 children.
Our available funds have decreased a little this year from £50,191 to £43,429, showing that we are doing better at spending the money that has been raised. We still have a large budget to invest in projects for the school.
