AIM: The aim of the Tudor Rose Festival is to prepare young people for a public occasion, allowing them the opportunity to perform and present their work to an audience. It also gives them the chance to receive advice from a professional to help build confidence in themselves and prepare them for a possible future in the world of entertainment.
In 2024, we continued to use a “one-way” system for the audience and ensured that the competitors were looked after in small groups. We restricted the number of entries to 1420, lower than normal, and continued to use the Festival Connect electronic system. We ran for four weekends. The adjudicators chosen were split over the four weekends. Although unusual, this seemed to work well and the two adjudicators communicated with each other regarding choices for trophies and awards. They were both very happy with the standard of competitors.
Once again, as this restricted Festival was not expected to raise many funds, we were happy to find that we had been able to raise enough to offer extra bursaries. We were very grateful to the teachers, parents and competitors who made the effort to, once again, take part in our Festival.

| report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Tudor Rose Festival (the Trust) for the year ended 31 May 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
